Brake warning light

Post by taz2212 » Sun Sep 22, 2013 8:39 pm

I have just had a quick search on the forum but cant find anything like this, when accelerating from slow speed turning right ie out of a junction brake warning light flashes on for 5 -10 secs then stops. I have had the stealers have a look all they could come up with is it may be a sensor getting stuck. Due to my complete lack of understanding of anything mechanical thought i would put the question out there and see if anyone has any ideas?
Any help appreciated

Check your fluid level. Bet it's low.

If the stealers have missed that, Name and shame! Did they check the brake pads sensors haven't rubbed through?

Are you sure it's the brake warning, not ABS warning? The ABS light will flash if one (or more) wheels is slipping a bit - not uncommon when accelerating hard out of a junction, especially on wet road and/or worn tyres.

How's your offside rear tyre looking??

I was going to say that but he said he was accelerating from slow speed. Wasn't sure if he meant WOT from slow.

Hey everyone checked brake fluid level is ok rear tyres on 5mm of tread even wear, stelers in question are taunton i know they have just been taken over about six months ago, definately not abs light warning flashes on centre display. Cheif mechanic said it could be a sensor sticking?
cheers for the help gives me lots of ammunition to hammer them with Audi warranty.
