I am still on the fence as to if these will look chavtastic or not. Ordered a set like I said as I was bored and wanted something to buy. I expect they will be fairly thin.

The mats turned up today. All seems quite encouraging. Only had a chance to look quickly, but tried one in the front passenger foot well. It clipped onto the plastic holder bits (don't know the technical term) well, and the overall quality looks good. They seem to be as thick as the standard ones that came with the car. The one I tries seems to fit well.

Will have a proper look tomorrow and post some Rule 1's

I have say that I found them to be as cheap looking as I expected. I haven't put them in the car yet as I was sufficiently uninterested when I saw them. I would have liked them more if all the logos were straight and the silver border material was of a better quality/smaller/stitched in more tidily.

They are about what I expected for the money. I am fussy, a lot of you might not give two poops.

^This is what I expected also. Has been my experience with all mats I've bought from suppliers like this.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

I might email the company that did the ones I have, very good quality and great price. Surely they should be able to do them again if other companies ate doing them.

I gave them to my mum for her car. I put them in for all of about 10 seconds, they looked too tacky.

Ive got fake mats in mine and the receipt says theyre over 4 years old now and theyre barely heel marked at all. Ill dig out the receipt from the log that I got with the car and see if the company is still trading. Theyre very good quality round the logos and borders and the material itself feels decent as well

I have just emailed the company that made my mats to see if they can still make them for the C5. Fingers crossed as the drivers one has fallen apart this morning when cleaning them.

They won't be made by axeminster, but if they do them the same as I have now but with the heal pad in a slightly different place I will be very happy.
