Front fogs removal

Post by asam_x » Fri Jul 12, 2013 6:26 pm

Does anyone know how the front foglight and surround comes off? There is some sort of daft rivets that seem to be part of the problem of removal. Thanx

Don't know the answer to your question - but it depends on whether you mean to put them back. If not, then just drill out the rivets!

I've got a copy of Elsawin which I can look at for you to see how the fog lights are removed. I'm working tomorrow so it will either be in the evening or Sunday though!

can't be that hard, someone had there's stolen not that long ago. And, they can be removed for wagner ones so i just say as MrPerc says, whip out the drill and get on it.
Just a lickle question, are you removing them for better air flow to the intercoolers?

i am needing to know hoe the fogs attach to the bumper from the rear of the grill and the part numbers as well if you can help when you remove the bumper.

i have the two piece grill and the fog lamps but i am trying to add the fogs to my RS6 front bumper that someone fitted to my S6, not sure how they mount...must be some sort of bracket..

If you could help that woudl be great, or if anyone has an exploded diagram of the fog light assembly.?

In the 3rd foto you can see the 2 rivets on 1 side and like butterfly clips on the other. Drill through these 2 to remove the foglight surround to access the 2 torx screws securing the foglight. Only then can you access the rest of the 'framework'. Hope this helps you Mark. :thumb: Mavada
