Getting back into a 6 maybe ?? !!
Well after a few years of a company vehicle, it went back yesterday...
Thats one of the reasons I have not been posting on here, although I did always pop in now and again.
So the search begins on what to get next, after perusing the net I was quite amazed at how good VFM the C5 Rs6 now is.
I am seriously temted into a C5 RS6 or a B5 RS4.
I Looked at a few that seem well sorted for under £10k.
I know theyre bloody expensive to run & maintain (As I have previously owned one) but what else could you get for £8-10K with this much power/praticality/looks !
Im definately going to have a think about one of these beasts !!

Save up and get a C6. A nicer place to be except for the exhaust noise.

Mr Footlong is correct...if your budget doesn't stretch to the C6 RS I'd be having a look at the C6 S6...I'm kicking myself that I went for a lesser model but the cabin and look of the C6 is light years ahead of the C5.

yes the c6 is very nice, unfortunately budget wont go that far prob £10k away !!
Don't know if the newer models audi are making look as special and aggressive as the older stuff though.
Did think about a b7 RS4 but not really sure what to get

If you don't need the rear leg room then a B5 RS4 would be very nice. Same goes for the B7 RS4, not much room in the back. You won't get the same speed for the money compared to the prices of the C5 though.

C5 RS 6 over a C6 S6, the C6 S6 has 435 (iirc) BHP from factory, and the one I know of that was dyno'd only managed 360 BHP, so they're most likely suffering from the B7 RS 4 type carbon build up problems. I don't care how nice the C6 interior is, if I'm paying £490 a year tax and suffering <beep> fuel economy, I want some performance to match. If your budget doesn't strech to a C6 RS 6, then I would be looking at an E60 M5, now that's a proper naturally aspirated V10, 500 BHP, and because it's a BMW, you know the balance, steering and drive will be superb.

I used to be fanatical about Audi's, so naturally, I had an irrational hatred of BMW. Then I drove one and realised anyone that dismisses BMW are missing out big time, myself included. Honestly, stereotyping? Who cares what people think? (unless it's a gay french girly convertible) And if you do, Audi haven't exactly got the image they used to.

Why not save up a bit more to purchase a C7 RS6? The interior is light years ahead of the C5 and C6

C6 S6 all day long over the C5 RS6:
- Same cabin n spec as C6 RS6
- Great NA throttle response
- Ultra reliable
- Glorious V10 howl
- Less hassle and cheaper to run than RS
May not be as fast as the C5, but its plenty quick and a great all round package.
Superb VFM right now and doesnt look too shabby after a few choice mods

Was waiting for you to post, Golf. Does look good to be fair, and the V10 noise is glorious, but if not the E60 it'd be a D3 S8.
