Ok latest update, the car is being repaired by insurance Co after i said i wanted the car back to take to another repair who had indicated a cheaper quote by some £2-3k.

Made it pretty clear i thought they were trying to rip off the other parties insurance Co. But given what has been said above this seems to be a common occurance.

Then within 24-48hr they came back say they had a approval despite the breach in the repair bill being 60% of the value of the car.
So off it goes to Audi for a new whole new exhaust system despite what i can only describe as exhaust box being bent about 1-2inches down out of place. Finally a brand new bumper and exhaust despit there only being a scuff mark and small crack from impact. No wonder our premiums are so heavy given the insurance companies are trying to tear each other a new one.

thx grizz, appreciate your help.. Still angry at these insurance Co trying to rip each other off and their affiliate repair shops overcharging. Far too incestuous IMHO
