Yeah I never rated the 111r's as a base car.
They are noticably heavier than the K series cars and the engine has zero personality. I hated the cam change at 6250 as it was so abrupt. Nearest thing to turbo lag on a non turbo car. Eventually Lotus offered a remap to smooth it out but never really sorted it enough for me.

Really worth trying a late K series car (2003/2004 models are the best imo) and the S2 135R is a cracking car. Don't let the lack of power cloud judgement.

However if it really does make or break it for you then I'd recommend trying a supercharged toyota car. Peak torque goes from 6k+ to 3k and it pulls like a train in any gear. The Cup Exiges are all great.

Alternatively if you dancy something different, scout out a converted car. Many have changed the engine to either a 2l Honda (from the type R) which can comfortably see 300-330hp when supercharged or a VAG 1.8 I5 which can be tuned bonkers (start around 350hp and there are plenty running 500+).
300hp+ in a car that weights 750kgs is seriously good fun.

Nice pushchair, is that the model with the manual foot brake or the hand auto-locking brake?

(gone to a c6 a6 2.7tdi and to be fair i wish i hadnt of bought it)

the exige will make my rs6 feel so slow its unreal.

500Hp sounds about right for a 1 ton car. :)

I'm going to look at an E46 M3 coupé tomorrow. Any thoughts on these for track use? They seem to populate the burger ring...
