I really enjoyed driving my friend's STi WRX PPP. Makes a fantastic noise, and is great fun to drive. Very involving and feels very different to the RS6. Big step down in luxury and equipment, though. Maybe later ones are better equipped. This ones doesn't even have ESP.

Nice and cheap to run / repair though.

You are faced with the classic problem of what to replace a 6 with.

I've seen the posts before with people struggling to think what to get. Just goes to show what a great all round car the 6 is, it does everything.

There are a few nice 50k miles ish M5's for about 20 grand out there

I'm thinking of a jag xfr next. Either sell the 6 (which I really don't want to do) or try and run it as well as. Wint be till next year so prices should have come down another few ££££ by then.

Excellent idea, Dunc. Why didn't I think of that? XFR or XKR - great cars.

Each time I buy a new car it has to be faster/more powerful than the last car: There were a couple of cars in the gaps as second cars but they don't count.

- MG Metro (65 bhp)
- Williams Clio (150 bhp tuned up a bit to 165/170)
- Fiat Coupe (220 bhp - then later 300+ bhp)
- Soon to be Audi RS6 (450 bhp)

So the next car needs to be a Veyron I think ;)

450bhp - 1000bhp now that's how you do things :thumb:

I guess you have to sympathise with the car dealers. They must get a lot of time wasters.

I always fully expect to be asked how the car will be financed before a test drive but to refuse to even see you is madness. That car is going to be sat on their forecourt for a long time if they're that suspicious of everyone.

+1. I love your wife, put me in your last will and testament.

I test drove an RS3 last week, I really really liked it, quick (must be mental quick with a deCAT bypass and a map), not as small as I thought, loads of toys and sounded rude. I was going to put it on the company but I hate any sort of HP/credit so I'm still struggling with the decision. I feel I still need to get this '6 set right, and if I do that, I'll probably love it again. It's not painting itself in glory at the moment, effing car.

Feck the S5, buy an M3. Doesn't matter if they are common, at least they are decent. The S5 has feck all going for it.

  Sold my C5 RS6 5 months ago and bought VXR8 ,completely different drive from rs6 but huge fun and cheap servicing noise with sports exhaust is fantastic and loads of space inside .Considered M3 S6 etc but wanted something a bit different . However next car will more than likely be a C6 RS6 just waiting for prices to come down a bit more .

Next car for me is definately going to be a 911 turbo of some sort... But i don't think i'll be buying a car for a good few years. Must be grown up and focus on the business and finish off the house too!

I have no intentions of ever selling the 6 though lol. It's too special to me :kissmyrings:

Surely there is only one car to replace a C5 RS6 with, a C6 RS6 :bigwave: Everything that needed sorting in the C5, gearbox and DRC has been plus it has more cylinders, power and bigger brakes. What more could you want :D
C6 RS6 Avant in Mugello Blue - sold :(
Mini Challenge 210 Edition - sold
BMW M2 LCi
