Hi all,
I'm replacing a buckled wheel, can the TPMS unit be transferred to the new wheel which doesn't have one fitted, or do I need to order a replacement?
Thanks

Re: TPMS
It can be transfered. Check the remaining battery life with the Vagcom to see if it's worth buying a new one or not. If they are still going now, chances are that they have already been replaced once.

Re: TPMS
Great thank you.
Time to get hold of a Vagcom I think. I think they must have been replaced, they all seem to be working.
Is removing / refitting it a job for an enthusiastic amateur to take on, or a job for a specialist? The guy at my local tyre place said removing the TPMS unit would - in his words - 'Totally fcuk it!' Hmm....

Re: TPMS
The valve will probably be corroded in but the TPS unit should be salvageable, valves are available on there own.
