Computer says no. This claim is still with the MD of WD. I'm far too angry to post about this at the moment.

I was told last week that the MD of WD would have to sign off on this claim. I called on Friday to be told that there would certainly be an answer for me on Monday and they would most certainly call me. I did not receive a call on Monday and I was too busy to follow up. It is now Tuesday so I called this morning to be told that Simon, my claim admin would call me the moment he was off the phone (20mins tops, I was 'guaranteed'), he did not call me, I gave it two hours, then I called him. I was told by someone else that this was still pending with the MD of WD, I insisted on speaking to the supervisor - Jasper. I was irate to put it lightly yet he could not placate me with a decision as this claim is still with the MD of WD. I asked him for a solid date/time for a decision, he couldn't give me one. He was the most non-committal person I've ever spoken to in my life, it seems no one was willing to take ownership of this. Jasper’s best answer was "he's the MD, he's my boss and I can't force him to sign this off", at which point I hypothesized that it’s a wonder the company is able to get anything done.

EDIT: this have now been approved but at a cut down labour cost i.e. they only agreed to pay some of the labour hours incurred. In effect, it's the amount that A1 Premier Transmissions would've quoted to WD.

I fought my corner, I kept the car with MRC and sent the gearbox to be rebuilt with an official ZF partner but WD still payout what they wanted to payout.... and they took 4 weeks to reach that decision. I have given them every opportunity to explain their reasoning and their position but this is the result. You have been warned. Unless you're ok with WD telling you how your car should be repaired and for them to exercise their power to have your car taken elsewhere for repair, then WD is for you. If you want to have any say in the car's place of repair, then DO NOT accept their advertising, their written policy nor what their sale people have to say.

positive thing to take out of it it that the amount they are paying out is more than the premium, so at least you win ... albeit the service you paid your premium for has not been forthcoming to say the least

Yeah, I tried to look at it that way but consider this, I could've had the car back on the road a whole month ago. With car hire, other assorted travel and my billable time on the phone to WD it has made up the difference on the premium that you're talking about. It's been a false economy, if I'm honest.

Yes, because all Australian fingers (both women and men) are so masculine and strong we have trouble typing the word Dartrh (this was a non-issue pre-May 25, 1977), our finger muscles always seem to get in the way, thus creating fat fingering situations. I have a particularly bad case of fat-fingering, in fact, all lesbians openly want my fingers, I'm very well hung in lesbian circles. Also, I was once a professional hand model for a well known fisting <beep>.
