I've learnt already - had it with the S8, park it up with 50 miles remaining. Then it shows a big fat 0 in the morning, which means your late for work.

Haha. That's exactly what I was thinking :) That quarter will turn out to be a half, you'll see :)

I must play around with the fuel gauge settings one day to get it to reflect a vaguely realistic fuel level.

This actually really bugs me with Audi because my 1988 BMW 535 had a fuel gauge marked in liters. And it was accurate. You can't tell me that 15 years later you can't make the fuel gauge more accurate than "wildly approximate".

I hear ya... Spoken to Grizz. Unit 20 will collect the car and do the following.

Gut pre cats
Viper custom remap
Non res Milltek
Service
Cambelt/waterpump/thermostat
Anything picked up on a healthcheck

I want Hotchkins ARBs too but insurance company won't allow them, and wagners - I can't afford them, yet.

Must be made of money amar. Would love to hear how you get on with the gutted cats, milltek and viper map. Mines is 508bhp with just filters and map. Bet it will sound ace mate.

Would it not be best doing the wagners first? Intercoolers are poor so will fail at some Point plus when you get the wagners you might need it mapping again.

I think the intercoolers are already leaking, came across a post on here from the previous owner where he said they were, not sure if he got them repaired/replaced though. Wagners are £1,500, how much are OEM ones? But if I do go Wagner in the future Viper will tweak the map and charge per hour.

What BHP should I expect with gutted cats, a custom viper remap, Milltek and filters?

Like I said, anything that is picked up on the Unit 20 health check will be taken care of. Was just hoping to seal up the OEM ones for the time being.

Leaking intercoolers will kill your turbos eventually. It's got to be a priority over the other "toys".

It will be in VERY good hands Amar. Are you not able to go and see Grizz doing some of the work? The man is very helpful and you will learn alot, shame it's around 2 hours from us

Shoppinit - if you read my post in full you would see along with my list of 'toys' I also stated that anything picked up in the Unit 20 health check will be taken care of, I don't actually know if they are leaking, as it wasn't mentioned to me so previous owner may have had them repaired, I just saw a post where he states the intercoolers were leaking... Rest assured, if they are leaking, they will be replaced/repaired immediately.

Dunc - I've met Grizz a few times and been to Unit 20, he's worked on my S8. It would be awesome to watch, but work gets in the way and he said he knows a way of getting my car up to him foc so I'll get the train up a few days later, I took the train to Chester last time, went 1st class and it was actually really good apart from when the driver over ran the station, scary stuff.

I'm slipping done a very slippery slope, very fast.. C6 front brakes going to be fitted too now if all goes to plan. This was the hardest one to justify as my discs and pads were just changed
