Dave loved his car and spent £££££££££ on it , the fire was only minor and was due to a badly fitted fuel pipe by audi ..
The car is only for sale as Dave was sadly killed in a motor cycle crash .

Re: Time to break open the piggy bank again...
My mate was at the ring that day and saw the car. Next day it was back on the track, so it can't have been very serious.

Are we sure it's the same car. The reg isn't quite the same. V8 AUO on the car in the ad, but definitely V8 AUD in these photos:

Re: Time to break open the piggy bank again...
Yes seen all the NOS bottles yesterday that were removed from the car (did he change the reg for track day?) registered June 2004 as V8 AUO to date, seen all invoices from 2004 to date too, maybe someone else can shed light on this? Are we sure it's the same car. Re: Time to break open the piggy bank again...
Turning the thread back to my gearbox saga...
Can't get to the bottom of why but warranty company still hasn't given authorisation to ship my car from Stirling Audi to A1 Premier Transmissions. Last week they asked me to send them a copy of the last service bill and the MOT which I did by email that day. Discovered today that they already had that as Audi had faxed them before they were authorised to do the valve block repair.
Anyway in the paper work SA sent me was page 1 of a 3 page Diagnosis log...
The first two entries under the heading of Automatic gearbox are:
17114 P0730 035
Gear monitoring
Wrong transmission ratio
17116 P0732 035
2nd gear
Wrong transmission ratio
So for all you techies out there - would you have read that and said, "ah, yes the valve block needs replacing"?
Completely separately, under the heading of Central Locking I can see a further 2 events;
01134 076
Alarm horn -H12
01368 035
Alarm triggered by luggage compartment switch
What do these mean? Related in any way to this issue? http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=90394
Then under the heading of Acoustic Parking Aid it says 3 events detected but they're over on page 2 which I don't have. But I knew I had problems there anyway - http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=91311
Would love to have seen the remainder of the log...
