Post by RS4XS » Wed Mar 02, 2011 1:57 pm

What other if any Discs fit the RS6

I guess Lambo do,

Reason i ask is the company i use for Brake kits list many many models but not the RS6,

They list the S6 upto 2001 and also the Pheaton 2006 +

They can cross ref my measurments but i am being lazy and thought i would ask first on hear before i start taking measurement from my car

Thanks for any help

you will struggle to find aftermarket discs for the RS6... many companies steer clear ... which company are you talking about that supplies the brake kits for you?

and if you are lazy on here and dont use the search function on the forum, bam bam will open up on your ass

I did a search it didnt come back with much info,
just the usual, and the new C6 upgrade,

I can get fully floating 380 or even 400mm rotors, i know they are up to the job as we have them fitted to our 600hp Evo, thus why when my discs come up for changing i was going to throw on a set,
if they dont have a match i can get them mmanufacturered if needed,
Company is XYZ that supply us.

Get some hats from JH Motorsports, then try fitting a suitable disc (or get discs from them too). I'd guess the standard callipers will handle a 390mm disc, can't comment on the 400mms.
Other options:
Mov'It iron or ceramic discs
C6 RS iron discs with either C5 or C6 callipers
C6 RS carbon/ceramic discs and matching callipers
Brembo GT kit

BTW, I found all of this info when using the search function in 5mins whilst Bruno was butt hurting you... you'll not be able to 'cut one off' for at least a week with that gaping anus...
No matter where you go, there you are.

Yeah i searched the C6 came back but it doesnt help me,

Maybe if anyone knows if the RS6 brakes are a good upgrade for the S6,
if our brakes fit the S6 then it will help me.

PS the Evo is a company car lol

An AC Cobra will get you anywhere in my book. Pictures or it doesn't exist.

Do a search on here for "JH Motorsports" and you'll see the hats/bells they manufactured for a user on here, PM said user for the specs (I suggest asking nicely) and then get XYZ to replicate... need I continue?

Don't forget to share the wealth when you get everything fabricated (chance to group buy etc).
No matter where you go, there you are.

My brother is running 405mm discs with C5 RS6 8 Pot Calipers on his Chevy Silverado, they fit but there is something like 0.5-1mm of pad overhang.
Also the rotors just miss scraping on the inside(inside the disc groove) of the calipers.
