03/52 RS6 Avant £39,795!!!

Yes you read it right, this is my first post on the forum. I have just sold my M3 And i have been given a delivery date of the 10th May for my RS6 Avant, it took me a long time to convince the wife that this was the way forward. When she was out and about she picked up a copy of What Car? March 2004. It has a section called "award winners one year on".

It states:- "Of the 64 cars here,only one offers a bigger saving than the blistering Audi Avant RS6. At £39,795 its a massive £19,005 cheaper than when new."

This is for an 03/52 plate car from a dealer???

These guys must have been drinking, i have searched high and low and i cant find the car??

On the basis cars with less than 10K and under a year old are on the market for a shade under 50k, this is not surprising and shows the 'brand weakness' - too many cars, does not look really special(like the RS2) - and yet it is a great car to drive.

Could it be that Dealer's did not want to know because they have their hands full. In November, I drove 2 Rs6's at Beechwood near Birmingham - they still have them and will part with them at well under 50k - these are one year old - Saloons again, Avants seem to be better

No this was not a particular car but a guide to what an average price avant would be one year old with average miles (12k) it cant be right, the cheapest saloon i have seen was 45k and i think thats because it was red! (sorry any owners of red rs6) i am not cancelling my order roll on 10th of May

If the car is the one i think it is ! it belongs to someone i have met (hi neil), and he is a clever chap although i dont think it is going to get up to the price that the audi dealer offered him (quite a few thousand pound more than its currant bid on e bay) but there is no harm in trying to see if it would fetch more on e bay before he accepted the dealers offer !
Oh by the way he didnt put it up for sale privatly cos he hates "tyre kickers" if you know what i mean.
Any way if your reading this good luck neil.and i still think if you had bought an avant like mine you would be seeing much higher return figures now ! better still dont get caught by speed cameras [img]images/graemlins/ban.gif[/img]
and then you could keep the car [img]images/graemlins/jump.gif[/img]

This sounds really similar to one we discussed a while ago- it was at a dealer in Hull at £39995 when every other car in the network was at £50k+. The next day the car was not on the network but an identical one (Daytona) appeared shortly after at £49995.
I personally don't think it's correct-especially as every other saloon is £48k Minimum [img]images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I dont think it is the car you lot have discussed before but
i am pretty sure it is neils car as i said in my last post as
1=he bought it new around about may 03,(as on add)
2=he put new tyres on it at end of jan 04,(as on add)
3=hes just got a years driving ban for speeding (as on add)
4=he lives in the devon area (as on add)
5=he has a mate who deals in liquidated stock etc (can not confirm his name is ben though .as on add)but ben does say in faults that his name is not on the v5!!
6= his car is mugello blue with grey/black ? interior
so in conclusion if this is not neils car there is a hell of a lot of similarities [img]images/graemlins/acclaim.gif[/img] dont you think ?

although his car is a 2003 03reg not a52reg .as posted by you guys i thought 03reg came out 1st of march 03 !!!! the car was first registered on 23-05-03 ???
