It's the MRC Stage 1+ map I have - love it!! :P

Do you notice much change in mpg due to the earlier changes Dave?

Some, but not huge. Measured on the system it went from 19.9 average to 20.4.

I suspect that the savings from the better tuning are partially offset by the temptation to have more fun!! :redrs4:

19MPG???? Bloody nora. The wife is getting around 13mpg at the moment but that is around town driving.
Did you notice a difference in the delivery after the map?

Sorry - not sure what you mean?? Did I get improved MPG - yes, see above. Did I get better power, sharper changes, more torque - yes see above re having fun!

If I spent most of my time around town I dare say I'd get 13mpg. Most of my mileage is long runs on the motorway sitting on cruise control, and even though my speed is set to minimise the journey time ( ) it still manages well over 20 mpg

I think he meant driveability. ie, is the power delivery linear / top heavy, etc.

Ah - good point...

Yes - the driveability is better in that there is more torque on offer, and the car will sit in 5th at 30. The changes are sharper though, and the downshifts on light load (eg when coasting to a junction in traffic can be a bit lumpy) - nothing harsh or uncomfortable though.

If you go for the customised map they'll shape it to your driving style.

I'm 43, 18K miles a year, MRC Stage 1+ declared (i.e. up to 15% power increase), with Admiral £625

Do you think so. I thought it was quite reasonable given the mileage I do each year. That does include Business????

Ah, should have realised at 18k a year that would be business. I would give skyinsurance a try though when you come to renew.

well it arrived and it was almost double what i paid last year with no change in circumstances. They want £760 this year (thats what you get for insuring with them nigh on 10 years) so they can stick loyalty up their ass.Is Sky the punters choice for these cars???

Who are you with atm? Every year i get a stupid quote for renewal i just do the go compare / money supermarket thing and 9 times out of 10 the original company will match it. Last few years i've been with Elephant when i got the RS6 and told them about mods they wouldn't touch me. The next day Admiral ring me and do a very good deal, they are the same company ffs.

I'm with Keith Michaels at the moment and they have been very competitive every year which is why i have stayed with them.I have just spoken to my mate who works for them and he tells me that insurance companies have had a lot of 'issues' with high end Audi's (not sure what he means by that) so i am obviously looking for the best priced company out there that will cover mods :)
