I've just given myself a personal budget for my next car. I could spend more but i have other commitments too so don't want to spend much more. I can't justify spending £15k on the next car as I know i'll spnd more getting it how i like. I spend a lot on modifying cars (my last few cars have seen a lot of money thrown at them). However with this i'd only be looking to do a few mods so i'll have a lot more available to maintain/run it. I'm sure i'll be ok on that side.

Coilovers, brakes and exhaust is pretty much all an RS6 needs imo. Then drive it and do the odd trackday :)
On reading what you say, I think your best bet would be going down the route of the M3 or the Evo. Mods on the 6 are usually in 4 figure sums if not then late 3 figure sums. The 6 is a beast especially if you have a heavy right foot, and drinks fuel like nothing else. Not really a track car IMHO either, more the load lugger with a big bag of tricks, if you know what I mean. The end decision is yours, but choose wisely, they DO hurt the pocket.

Well I don't see a way that any self respecting heterosexual bloke can draw that much attention to himself...

I'm quite comfortable with the "size" of my pipes!

Maybe it's over compensating for the fact you should "come out"?

(Amanda excepted of course!)
