Rear seat cover

Post by Coxall8395 » Sat Dec 11, 2010 7:39 pm

In January I am getting one of the those expensive things that take all your money.

No not another RS6 but a baby!!!

Anyhow I want to protect my light leather from the "the usual baby offerings"

Anyone had any rear seat covers from anywhere that actually fitted well. I don't expect it to look good, but have darkened rear glass so don't care about the look too much. Apart from those nasty leopard skin effect ones you used to get!

Thanks

I have White leather in mine and I use a White soft blanket purchased from ikea, only a few pound I think. I would also recomend putting something under the car seat as it can mark the leather when pulled tight using the seat belt. I have a padded seat covet that goes on the bench and back and has an elasticated bit which goes around the head test. Cannot remember where it came from, lidl I think.

They look ok actually, I tuck the White blanket under the seat nice and tight. When it gets messy, I just wash it!

i use a two part protector that i got on line , think they do them at Halfords now
one piece fits over headrest , other lays on the seat , as it is padded , it stops dents in the leather as well as 'spillages' , recommend it highly , and very easy to put on and off when u dont have the kids with you :)
Now : XFR Jag 5.0 Supercharged

Used to have : C5 Daytona Avant , silver leather , carbon inserts ; RNSE, TV in motion, Bluetooth , well filled SD card slots ; PSS9's ; Hotchkiss ARB's ; Miltek cat back res ; Wagner intercoolers ; Phaeton brake ducts ; forge DV's ;

Phil the ones on Halfords on the internet get poor reviews a barely fitting medium sized cars. Is there any manufacturer written anywhere so I can try to find where to find one.

Thanks

Congratulations on your news!

I had the same issue and used www.climatecovers.com to order a custom made rear seat cover. I also ordered front seat covers to eliminate little feet making a mess of the backing leather.

They fit well, maybe a little loose, with good coverage. I would also recommend purchasing a rubber/foam seat protector (Halfords) to place over the cover to hold the baby seat and save the rear seat from indentations.
