3 years and 30k with ours, the best car I've ever owned. Had the usual RS6 quirks:

DRC -> H&Rs
Gearbox replaced
Rear diff replaced
Leaky intercoolers
Oil cooler pipe leaks sorted
New front brake caliper after a bleed nipple corroded and stripped the thread
Front upper control arms replaced (massively improved handling/reduced shuddering)

We've toyed with replacing it recently but now that these are fairly depreciation proof and so rare, yet give such a great buzz when out and about we can't think of anything we'd rather have... :)

unfortunately the drc has just cratered and rides like a blitz truck crashing over bumps, road ripples etc.

its a choice betweeen PSS9 and KW3.

looking for ride as close to standard- not race like.

any advice/opinions appreciated.

no you have said this about your drc im thinking mine might have gone?... my ride feels very bumpy how can you tell 100% if the drc has gone?
has the classic symptons described by other posters- weeping/leaking shocks for last 18 months, the 'clunk in the trunk' from drivers rear side on any bumps recently-must have leaked all drc fluid away?. However still handling ok in corners, but in back of my mind waiting for something to happen- keeps you awake!!

Will be 3 years in Feb. Still lovin' it. It has it's little quirks here and there but can't think of anything that could possibly replace it right now (especially at this time of year) :)

6 years and 7 months and 11 days. :D SSSAAADDDD I know. 117,654 miles. Daily use as well Just had leather refurbished. Its RED and oh it looks the DB's. Will I change. Na, for what. With snow looming the Quattro will do the biz again. There is NOTHING 'cept perhaps the V10 that carries loads at warp speed. It is rather big though. The RS is a nice size for comfort for 5 adults. No BM or Merc can compete. Monaro too skittish and rather vulgar. Porche too small. Other 4x4's too big and no fun. M5 too many permutations for driving. Body panels ally. Brakes HUMUNGOUS. Ride on 18" Abt's good, better than 19". Still creates the '' cor mate, it's an RS6'' 8)
