And can be fitted at your house or work by a mobile fitter ......

when new I think the black or silver look ok - but once kerbed i agree they look a bit silly. I can imagine driving along with bits flailing after a while...

Ok, before you judge me, remember that I gave this information voluntarily, and I see this forum as a 'safe space'...

Here goes...

When I bought my 6 the wheels were already kerbed.

I haven't had them refurbed because I know I will only do them again myself, and can't bear the self loathing.

Since having the car (all of two months) I have kerbed the nearside front wheel twice.

*Deep breath.*

My name is Danny... and I am a **** parker.

I lol'd.

Danny, you want to see pain? Swing by First Methodist Tuesday nights. See the guys with curbed spinners. That's pain.

Imagine curbing these things

ha ha, I hear you Danny. I've had mine for a few months now and the wheels were really bad when I got it. I've not got mine re-done for the same reason (being a ****parker).

It's strangely liberating in a sick and a bit wrong kind of way

It took my wife less than 2 weeks to kerb all 4 wheels.

Then again, I knew what to expect  after she hit a kerb with my 89 635csi (not a large car), with me in the car, trying to go round a sleeping policeman.

I could not quite believe it, and I just had the wheels done.

My ho was leaning out of the car trying to reach a French toll booth, she kept saying "closer", to which I'd say "is there enough room for the wheel?". She'd reply "YES, get closer, I'm not going to be able to reach", so I say "are you sure the wheel won't hit the curb?", she says "yes, there's loads of room". So I roll about 2inches forward and receive the most horrible grind against the toll booth high gutter. She throws in the coins, slides back into her seat, buckles up and squeals "OK, let's go!", smiling at me oblivious as to why my face has blossomed into an incandescent purple picture of the anti-christ.
Needless to say that I was vibrating with anger before a large argument erupted along the lines of me wanting to readjust her spatial awareness using my pimp-hand and one of her expensive high heels. Every toll booth there after (and there were many), I pulled up so far from the booth, she practically had to shag a passing truckdriver in exchange for a lift the rest of the distance to the money chute.
To top it off, HRE said their powdercoats are special order and only available if the wheels were sent to them, in the USA. Pack of roosters.
:D :D :D :D LOL!!!!
I feel your pain...and your post made me laugh
Maybe I should just add that my Missus kerbing antics saw 6 new tyres in 18 months, that was AFTER i had replaced all four all round

That's £1,500 in GYE F1s

I've just joined the club...
New owner for about 2 months now. Wife used the car 3 times on her own...curbing tally now stands at 3 (but to be fair she managed to curb 2 in the same trip so she does have one non-curbing trip under her belt!!!). Old owner was very fastidious and we bought it after he had recently taken all 4 wheels off for a full clean polish and wax seal so they were looking factory-fresh!

I know if I book it in for a re-furb it will happen again.
