Why are these so cheap? Has anyone tried them?

Feck that is cheap if its for a set of pads and disks !!

I would advise on having new fitting kits handy as if the old ones are stuck and you have to mash them to remove you may have a wait to get a fitting kit.

My rear discs are due for renewal.
Do I pay Audi £500 or take a chance on these?

Don't forget peoples, disks and pads make that two tonne beast we drive stop, which is quite important really...cheap options should not really be options. But hey, I'm all for a bargain but not one from the basement.

Hmmm, I can't see how they could make them for that price.
Not expensive enough to instill confidence.
There is a psychology lesson in there. If they were £250 we'd think they were better...
I'm not brave enough to try them though, even if they were free.

Sorry we've completely ignored your original post and I, like others was fascinated by the ebay ad posted by zip929 for "Audi RS6 4.2 03/02- Brake Discs & Pads Rear" for the grand sum of £41.42

Even if they were made out of cheese they'd be more expensive.

Anyway, getting back to your question ;)
The fronts are straightforward. The rears will probably need a caliper rewind tool (available from your local halfords). Don't press the brake when the pads are out, or you could damage the calipers.
Remember to keep an eye on the fluid level and remove some if necessary.

Says discs are solid not vented, thought the RS6 had ventilated rear discs.

Pads changed, no problem, much easier than I thought, everyone should do it themselves, anyway, pads are the real thing, minted, so happy days!!!
