Couple of weeks ago my Bose sub developed an occasional faint whistling noise. It comes and goes and recently it got louder and happens more often. Very annoying. It's quite random, wasn't able to tie it to anything external like temperature, humidity, runtime etc.
All other speakers are OK, it just concerns the sub, so I think it's that or the amp. Checking the web it seems that these Bose amps are not designed to last (sounds familiar

). It probably can be fixed by changing capacitors and such, so I might give it a go.
But quite probably I need a new Bose amp, anyone knows the partno.? Any good source (not used)? Anyone had similar probs?
Cheers,
Jurgen
