Cheapest place for RS6 discs?

Post by Ceveman73 » Wed Sep 08, 2010 9:33 am

I've noticed on here that people have quoted a myriad of prices for RS6 discs, so I wondered if there is now a consensus on where the cheapest place is to source new RS6 front and rear discs from is? Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Mart.

I'm looking too. Interested in comparing prices for stock, drilled and C6 discs.

Would consider Phaeton discs but there seem to be worries about insurance / warranty - shame, as I like the drilled and slotted look.

The phaeton ones dont have the same heat resistance properties if im not mistaken. Unit 20 looks to be the best bet, unless you get them in the classifieds here.

I think they are about £30 to £50 a disc cheaper than drilled.

There's a guy on ebay.de that sells a pair of drilled fronts for about 700€. That sounds fairly reasonable. Looks like the non-drilled (which I prefer) are about 100€ cheaper.

Can I just put the drilled rears straight on or is there something special about those Phaeton ones that are currently on Darth?
I instructed Finchley Audi put the cross-drilled rears on but they said they couldn't get them to fit! I'm not a fan of Finchley anymore but they do have THE hottest service rep, she is so hot in every way!!!

Thought as much, they said the bell was more pronounced (comes out a mm or two more) than the Phaeton disc bell and therefore the caliper carrier wouldn't align the caliper onto the disc.
Not that bothered, I've done another 4k miles on those Phaeton rears, hopefully Camberley will sort it out towards the end of month.
