DRC

Post by red_jdm » Fri Jun 25, 2010 6:03 am

Hi guys...last owner of the car just replaced the DRC couple months ago. I would like to lower the car now. How? Should I just change the springs? or I should go for PSS9 or even KW V3?

Sandbags is the cheapest option. 1.99 each at B&Q

Seriously though, DRC is a bag of <beep>, and putting shorter spring on will just hasten your trip into the hedge. I would recommend PSS9s, but then I would.

PSS9 kit with uprated anti roll bars. A better kit suited to the RS6 due to it's weight.
Worked a treat on mine + you can lower it as much as you like.

Audi did a lower kit for the Plus - check part numbers etc with a friendly dealer (or ask on here).

DRC is fine if in good working order - it used not to be relieable but the recent v3 is much better on that front. Coilies are fine if you want a harder flatter ride, but you sacrifice ride quality on our rough roads.

Why do you want to lower the car - aesthetics or handling??
