Squeaky Suspension

Post by magpie21 » Tue Jun 15, 2010 11:21 pm

Just over the last few days I have noticed that the rear suspension has developed a squeak. It only seems to happen when going very slowly, i.e crawling in traffic less than 10mph.

The car is is on DRC and is still under all component warranty so I'll be booking it in soon but was wondering if anyone could give me any advice as to what direction to point the stealership to when I get it booked in.

Cheers

Yeah easy one this, just say my DRC is fcuk'd please fit a complete new system now and give me an R8 spyder as a loan car for the inconvienance caused by Audi fitting the most ridiculous suspension set up in the history of the world to a two ton 450bhp car.
(if Carlsberg made Audi dealer claims)!
Good luck.

There was a thread on this recently. I thnk the squeak was resolved by applying some grease to the ARB mountings.

Hi Nev

I hope this is all that has gone wrong and you are still enjoying the beast.

Don't worry, I had the same thing happen to me. It was not the DRC. I had an X audi tech tell me what it was, but can't quite remember the technical name. Anyway I took it to Leeds audi, told them what it was and they replaced the part (something to do with rear suspension I think) under warranty. Fixed in a jiffy and no more squeeks.

Like you, I heard the squeek when driving slow up our lane, and it only really occured when it was warm dry weather.

If you ring Leeds audi and give them my old reg, they should be able to tell you what it was I had done.
