Valuation request...but I don't want to de-value other RS6's
Valuation request...but I don't want to de-value other RS6's
Morning,
After selling my Skyline GTR back in December, the temptation to buy the new GTR has always come and gone...However, I now think it's time to go for it!
So my RS6 saloon needs a new home, but I'm not sure what is a realistic asking price given the spec and mileage, so can I get some opinions based on the below, what I should ask for the car without de-valuing the cost of other sellers cars...if you see what I mean?
RS6 C5 saloon 53 plate black
95'000 miles
cream leather
piano black trim
Billy PSS9 suspension, fitted 2 months ago
RNS-E audio sat nav with digital TV and Ipod connection
Ved Ultrac Sessanta tyres- 2 months old
19" Antrecite alloys, refurbed 2 months ago so unmarked, also new valves
Milltek cat back exhaust, satin tail pipes
K&N air filters
Full service history, I've done the following since buying the car; 89k full service inc cam belt and brakes front and rear, this alone was 6k.
The car wants for nothing, and is used every day and has never missed a beat. This is a genuine reason for sale, and I appreciate that the mileage is going to effect the value of the car, so I'm thinking the sale price should be 15k..Based on the above, does that price seem about right?
Cheers,
Mark.

RE: Valuation request...but I don
Books at 11.5k.
Add around 1-2k for a private sale and then probably another k for the mods.
So you've pitched it about right.

RE: Valuation request...but I don
your car sounds almost identical to mine I sold in Dec 09, but mine had 9 months of Audi warranty remaining.
I advertised it for a pinch under £14k and it went more or less straight away
since then, I think "book" has increased slightly on my old car (cars appreciating! whats going on!)
So I think £15k is about right for a fairly quick sale
Problem with 95k is some people get mileage blindness and dont consider the condition of the car
ps. PM sent

Perhaps we should all post how much we paid and what the mileage was. I'll get the ball rolling;
2003 RS6 Avant - 55k with FASH and 4 months named Audi warranty + a further 6 months 3rd party warranty.
RNS E + Miltek fitted
Excellent condition apart from light scuffing to 3 alloys but nothing bad.
Bought from Cambridge Car Company for £19,500 in Jan 2010.

Who bought it for 14k at 87k miles then? Not me... I paid 17k from Fontain, then proceeded to make it a well sorted example, and now it stands at 15k with a good spec...I reckon it's a good solid buy for someone.white23 wrote:bought for 14k with 87k miles but she was a little 'tatty' round the edges so I've tidied her right up, the miles are now 90k and if I sold I'd be looking for 15.5k as she's been smartened right up/full service (even fontain commented on how nice she now looks)

sorry I didn't buy it from fontain but did some homework on the car and she'd been through fontain for coils being fitted and then I'd been discussing a possible trade in with them. They had an old report and I showed them some pics of how she looked now... ie I'm talking about my car in the comparisom request thingy....

A nice sensible family estate
