Warranty Poll

Post by el_ringo » Tue Mar 23, 2010 12:58 pm

Hi everyone,

My warranty is due soon and I am tempted NOT to renew it. I just want a feel for how many of you currently risk it.

Audi warranty for me at present, although will have to weigh up the pros & cons of renewing as cost is well over £2k...

Once my worthless 'warranty' expires, I'll be creating a 'slush fund' to cover any costs of repairs. It sickens me how these so-called policies are nothing more than a piece of paper with worthless writing on. I understand that Audi's is fantastic, but would still prefer to save up, just in case.

Mine came with the car and is by Warranty Wise who claim (with Quentin Wilson as figurehead) that they are trying to provide a warranty without as they put it, 'the weasel words'.....

Various levels of cover but the top level (Platinum) looks the part - for example under engine it just says 'engine', no ifs and buts (same with gearbox, suspension etc.)

Yet to try it but will post opinion if ever called upon

No warranty, no slush fund. Better to burn out than to fade away!
