i thought michelins were fine on the back but a problem on the front. i had normal ps2's on the back with the big rim rim protectors and they were fine

This is the wear on the fronts, which meant they had to be replaced somewhat prematurely. You can see that the wear is even across the face of the tyre and then there's just a lot of rubbing on that one inside bit.

That is classic rubbing on the "Knobbly bit" - ie it is fouling on part of the suspension.

I would say that you have a good case to argue that the supplier has given you the wrong tyres for the RS6

the X load tyres I had before were not avaliable any more
