Winter chains

Has anybody fitted these to the 6?
Is it possible on the 19's?

I wouldnt do it. If you get it wrapped on an axle by accident, on on a caliper then your stuffed. Just buy decent winter tyres. Chains are for 4x4's and trucks working heavy ice.

The best you can buy are Spikes-Spiders and these can be bought from the Roof Box Company online.

They specifically make a size for the RS6 and I bought a set to go the Alps last Winter.

They are easy to fit simply be fitting the hub to the wheel before you go and then you just click the chains on when you need to. They are low profile fitting so no worries about the lack of clearance on the wheel arches.

Would highly recommend them.

Those Spikes-Spiders look seriously good. I definitely fancy a set for the once in a blue moon they might be useful (like now :))

They do look a lot more safe than regular chains. I have seen other similar designs and not too expensive
