Amazing service record !

Post by Stuart6587 » Fri Dec 04, 2009 1:18 am

I bought my RS6 in January and was extremely lucky to find a very low mileage example which could almost be described as a "barn find" with less than 3,500 miles on the clock.

I have today had it serviced and when looking in the service book for the first time was amazed at the service history:

2003 - PDI
2004 - 1,796 miles (1,796 miles in a year)
2005 - 2,161 miles (365 miles in a year)
2006 - 2,604 miles (443 miles in a year)
2007 - 3,053 miles (449 miles in a year)
2008 - 3,445 miles (392 miles in a year)
2009 - 9,292 miles (5,847 miles in a year)

I know an RS6 is for driving and what a great drive it is but I still feel guilty that I have put 5,847 miles on the clock in a year when it had only previously covered 3,445 miles in five years and now don't want it to go over 9,999 miles !!!

That could be one for the 'garage'. Keep it locked up and covered, you never know, in 10 years time it may have gone up in value.

On the contrary - the ^ is for driving. So you can do 40,000 miles a year for the next five years and still only coming up to average miles!

Go fill her up, and get driving - before you get too old to enjoy her!!

you've effectively got depreciation FREE driving for the foreseeable future, as these cars have hit the bottom of their curve, and most of the depreciation from here on in will be mileage driven

but only from 40k onwards, so as dave said, take it up to 40k for FREE ! and enjoy
