C5 RS6 Master Tech
C5 RS6 Master Tech
I have just had a meeting with Adam at Audi Coulsdon. He is a Master Tech and RS enthusiast. He is also the owner of a C5 RS6 which I saw and fired up today and as I am sure you can imagine, it is immaculate.
I'm trespassing on this forum because I own a C6 RS, however, we were talking about Adam's car and the fact it has done over 100k. I think he is going to join this forum to offer advice on things like the controversial gear box oil change - ( he's done it on his own C5) etc.
Anyway, I cannot recommend him highly enough, he's looked after two of my specialist Audis and he adores the RS's - yes even my C6!

I have met Adam at Audi ,, he has worked on mine , really enthusiastic about the C5 RS6 , tho he is not entirely convinced about the H&R's as a DRC replacement , will probably see him soon , have to check out his car then

I for one will be very pleased to welcome him to the forum. It would be nice to have someone with 'official' knowledge of the RS6. We must be careful not to submerge him with requests for info!

Shoppinit -very considerate, although he has such enthusiasm, he would talk RS until the ice caps disappear!

RE: C5 RS6 Master Tech
There are other master techs out there too. Certainly Stuart at Camberley lurks in the background, as of course does Rob (though he's more likely dreaming of the next mods to his all powerful Fiat 500!!)
And then there's Griz, and the crew from MRC too
No shrtage of expertise here, which is what makes these boards so useful
Thanks guys
Dave

RE: C5 RS6 Master Tech
People lurking in the background aren't a lot of use to me to be frank.
Sometimes I wish there was someone who could be the "authority" on RS6 tech issues.
Grizz seems to be the only one to really participate. At least in the RS6 section.

RE: C5 RS6 Master Tech
I've seen RS6's with way more miles on than that. There was someone that posted on here a few months ago with over 200k miles on his. Very encouraging I think. I suspect the BCY is fairly bullet proof.

RE: C5 RS6 Master Tech
Engine code for the RS6. Not sure what it is for the plus. Might be the same.
Just after having written my previous post I read knappsimon's post about his utterly broken engine, so I could be talking out of my bottom
