Seats and centre armrest...

Post by B52NV » Sat Oct 03, 2009 4:23 pm

Maybe I have OCD (obses compul disord) , but can't help but notice when looking at a great example C5 that the passenger side seat seems to rub hard up against the centre armrest, while the drivers seat has a few cm gap...

Is this a common trait of the C5's? Is it as simple as the centre consol might have move toward the passanger side due to use from the driver. Could it be simply a matter of loosening and realigning?

Await the OCD comments..

Ocd inbound!!!! Mine is the same too!!! and it makes an annoying squeek when the leather rubs the plastic!!!! i keep meaning to stick some sort of material on there to reduce the friction!!!

I think its just one of those things!!!!

That's funny. Mine is nicely centered. Why would it move?

Morning chaps,

Mines the same - real simple solution to the squeek....just sprinkle some talcum powder between seat and console, tidy up with a dry cloth and the squeek is gone (well for a good few weeks anyhow)!!

Quite the opposite I'm afraid. Maybe that's the solution... eat your way to centered consoles.

Sticky back felt from eBay stuck to the side of the armrest. It looks just like the felt that is already stuck to the seatbelt clips.
