RS6 TV Diversity receiver -4D0 919 146 D
For sale the TV receiver out of my RS6. Audi Part and worth over £700 new from Audi ! Have RNSE head unit which is incompatible with this version of TV receiver (analogue). Get video OK but no sound. Advised this is due to the incompatibility and is not a technical fault. Item code : 4D0 919 146 D (see image). Has multiplug interface on rear - see image.

I've got one of these doing nothing too. Problem is, it becomes useless when they switch of the analogue signal anyway, which isn't so far off now.

It's still useful for those with RNS-D. All the external inputs go through that tuner. This could include a digital TV tuner.

Is there a digital TV tuner available which the RNS-D can control or would there have to be a separate controller.
RE: RS6 TV Diversity receiver -4D0 919 146 D
I'm pretty sure it'd have to be a separate controller - like this:

I don't think I'll bother, I just can't get the hang of watching TV and driving at the same time

lol!!! trouble is I personally dont like having gadgets/equipment which is fitted and doesnt work. bit like my tyre pressure sensors. The previous owner removed so Ive just bought a set. Maybe I'll see why everyone else has taken them off!!! But thats for me to find out! As for the TV Tuner its really just a gimmicky thing really isnt it. When would you ever want to sit and actually watch it???
RE: RS6 TV Diversity receiver -4D0 919 146 D
I've only ever watched it once while I was waiting for a ferry. Haven't even bothered to try since. Reception is iffy at best, and disasterous while on the move. Maybe digital is better.
I've got a DVD changer and alpine tuner with monitors in the headrests. I can see it being useful if you've got kids.
I know where you're coming from. I had the car in bits trying to get the DVD player and monitors to work because I couldn't bear them not working.

I'd like monitors in the headrests. Did you fit yourself. I have got one of those portable ones with two monitors that strap on but there are wires everywhere getting it connected up each time. What did you go for in the end? And what did you connect to or is it comepletely standalone??
RE: RS6 TV Diversity receiver -4D0 919 146 D
I bought mine with them already installed. They're alpine monitors that were professionally installed into the headrests. Very tidy job. The cables run down inside the seat, then under the carpet to the boot where the DVD player and TV tuner is installed (above and below Audi TV tuner respectively) . The screens relays the remote control signals to them, so I only need one remote to control everything. Pretty nice set up. I do like quality kit.
