RS6 DRC Update:

Thanks to all who gave me advice.

Took the car the Aylesbury Audi as recommended by Golfather. They were extremely helpful and efficient. They checked the car out for free while I waited (cost me £70 for all day at Slough!).

Aylesbury Audi confirmed what has been said in the forum that both sides should be replaced if one has a problem. They have just confirmed they will replace the n/s/r and o/s/r FOC. The right result.

I am grateful to Aylesbury Audi for the professional way in which they have dealt with this. I remain unimpressed with Slough Audi (who had never come across the problem before!)

This is testament to the power of the Forum. Thanks again to all and never give up the fight!

I'm fairly sure it should be n/s/r and o/s/f in conjunction with one another...

Hi there.
I've been monitoring this thread for a while and can now contribute :(
I own a 2003 (March 2003) Daytona RS6 saloon which has now done 38600 miles. As I've just bought the car, Audi Lincoln took it in last weekend for a complimentary health check.
This unfortunately raised the issue that three of the four shocks are cream crackered and need replacing, along with all the relevent extras associated with a full replacement.
As my car is JUST over six years old, Audi CS have refused to offer any assistance.
My car is completely standard and has a full Audi service history.
This is my second Audi in 3 years, my fiancee drives a 54 plate A3 and my dad has a 57 plate A4 3.0 TDi. It seems they're unwilling to help me as "they had to draw a line somewhere" and the six year point was it! It hardly helps promote good customer service.
Any help/suggestions gratefully received.

You're in the same boat as me. I just put Bilsteins on and I'm extremely pleased with the results. Or rather, I'm extremely pleased with the Bilsteins, I'm extremely unhappy that Audi won't repair my car because it's just outside of 'warranty'.

You could always try writing to Quattro Gmbh. Sometimes they listen where Audi CS doesn't, but personally I've given up hope.

I was speaking to an ex-rs owner the other day and he mentioned a case recently of a Range Rover owner who was so pi$$ed off with the amount of times his new car had been back to the stealers and the poor service he had experienced that he covered it in signwriting detailing all the problems and advising potential owners to look elsewhere for their Chelsea shopping trolleys then parked it on the road next to the entrance to the dealership he had bought it from.

They tried to get the cops to make him move it but they said as it was taxed motd etc they were not able to do anything.

The Guy eventually got his money back.

Maybe we should try this en mass ?
