Coming back to Audi at last

Post by Prawn » Sat Feb 07, 2009 10:24 am

Well I have finally decided to come back to an RS after a 3 year absence.
Looking at a saloon on Monday NK53 ZFF, anyone on here know the car?

The history is all from the north around Blackburn.

Pretty sure I will keep this one STD unlike the 4, well maybe.........

I know of it. The owner was on here a while back, I'll try and look at the history and figure it out. Silver saloon yeah? Bad news about keeping it standard. It already isn't. It's had an ABT conversion, ISTR about 520+bhp!

Oh well, that just makes it more interesting.
Yes it is a silver saloon.

Would appreciate any info you can find and a point in the right direction of the previous owners posts or username, feel free to PM if you prefer
Cheers

I've found the thread I was thinking of. There's nothing in the thread that actually mentions the reg, but I'm 99% sure that's the car they're referring to. I remember it because of the reason I mention in the thread:

That's the one, thanks for the info, seems the dealer as usual is unaware of what they have.

Can anyone tell me How the abt map compares to the mrc/mtm etc?

Is this the one at Tempest?...Can't tell due to the reg and the change of wheels. Thought the 4 pipes at the back looked interesting (either ABT or MTM). I remember seeing the Red one he's got up there too, that's got a Milltek and he didn't know it wasn't standard either. Not too sure he know's what he's got.

If that is the Tempest one, I was assured there'd been no tuning to it at all, but the exhaust was a genuine ABT exhaust.
Disappointed if that's the case, I hate being lied to :(

i went to see a red one at tempest. . . looks like the red one in the link but it had the plus wheels. . . i think it must be the same car as it had the same trim and rnse. . . it had a black milltek. . . he didnt mention it, but i heard it !

he had it advertised at 43k miles but when i went it was at 49k and he said his director was driving it, so could be same car at 51k

It is the same car, Martin who runs it says his Dad used it for a while (the red one). It did have titan plus colour wheels on it too but must have swapped these off. Either way, the red one's been up there for ages (4 months+) and the silver one for nearly 2 months i reckon.

Is there anything particular wrong with these cars that anyone knows of or are there just no buyers about at the moment?

I'd say I've dealt with Martin at Tempest several times when I've been looking, he's a genuine bloke trying to run a business in tough times, however his stock is quite diverse so doesn't always know enough about what he's got in a good and bad way!?
Pretty sure he won't be intentionally misleading, just doesn't know the answer.

deffinately current climate, nothing shifting at the moment especially rs6,s so go get yourself a bargain if its right for you.somebody i know knocked £2k off 2 cars before viewing them, obviously you have to avoid the rubbish and some enthusiasts will just sit on them as they are loved :kissmyrings:
