May be after an RS6

Post by colinc » Wed Feb 04, 2009 8:01 pm

Hi All

Came close to an RS4 a year or two ago but went for one of the other German brands instead. Now back in the market for a new car and a bit undecided. Will get out and try some soon but just wondered if anyone has experience of all the cars i am considering i.e. an RS2, RS4 or RS6 Avant (standard or Plus).

I can see good and bad in all three. Just wondered if anyone has experience of running each.

Looking for a good all round car that wont depreciate much (hopefully). Ideally would like to fit a tow bar for my bike rack although i understand this is not so straight forward.

Will try and use the search button too and see what to look out for.

Colin :)

Looking for the first versions of the RS4 and RS6.

Other than that whatever i go for has to be good condition, sensible mileage, well looked after etc. Not keen on grey or cream interiors.

Either way hopefully it will be a future classic that hopefully wont depreciate much and will be fun to own. Dont mind if they are modified a bit but it needs to be an all round useable car.

id be wary on the depreciation front. . . looks as if the B5 RS4 are holding their value really well, but C5 RS6's are dropping like stones . . . seem to be quite a few at the £15k mark, not saying their mint examples, but puts pressure on the mint ones prices
