Just been Milltek'd !!

Post by HYFR » Tue Dec 23, 2008 2:59 pm

OH MY GOD !!!

Just had non-resonated Milltek cat back fitted by AMD Technik. . . great work by Shaun over in Essex, called him at 10am and by 1pm it was done

He only had the black tips in stock (ala RS6+) so I went for them and no regrets what so ever, will post some pics shortly, just gonna give the car a wash.

The Sound -

Is unbelievable, it sounds like the God of Thunder is hanging on for dear life under my car, I used to drive the Rs quite sedately most of the time, saving the savageness for open roads and overtaking, but with this sound you can help but want to hear it sing !!

Free fitting on Milltek at the mo over at AMD, so £934 all in, not sure how this compares to MRC / Grizz, but worked for me location wise

God, said I wasnt gonna do mods as you just end up shelling out cash, but thats RNSE and Milltek in the space of 2 weeks !

Erm, so that's a remap, coilovers, hotchkiss ARBs, big brake kit, RSNE AND milltek I need - I'll be bankrupt! :D

My car is completely standard at the moment, all this talk of mods is making me jealous! ;)

Now you just need to get the cats out of it to make it sound REALLY good

Doesn't it make you just look for an excuse to drive??

The sound is awesome mind, it makes you wonder why Audi stick that stooopid tin can on there in he first place!

Mark (rupert) offer is still open to come and be terrified in my mota, just to show you how much you NEED to do those mods... :)

Are the systems described louder than a 6 Plus does anyone know?

I'm not sure I would want any more decibels over what I've got. It's OK on a short journey but what are they like on the motorway with a light (ish!) throttle?

The noise of a V8 certainly does it for me. Who wants to be PC anyway!

Cheers
