Dealers and warranty

Post by Wolverine » Thu Nov 08, 2007 12:27 am

Someone on this forum maybe able to throw some light on this thought ........

If there is something wrong with your car and you have warranty on it, is it in the interest of the audi dealership to push the claim through the used car warranty company ? Do they get paid the same level as if it was non-warranty work ?

If your car developed a big problem, say gearbox or engine, and they suspected the car was remapped but didnt know for sure, would it be in there interest to get the car fixed under warranty and not check for any mods ?

If it's an Audi warranty or extended policy then this should not be an issue , Problem comes with mickey mouse warranty policy that causes major problems for the dealers and added hassles with warranty engineers coming out to inspect the vehicle.

have to agree, when I had a problem with my rs6 it went into audi, they called me to say they will be fixing it, an I did not have to worry about the claim. But that was with the audi extended warranty. Ok so you have to pay for it each year but its worth it.
