Hi lads here is my effort of de chroming on my dirty RS, if its proves popular i may offer the service and it would take approx 2hrs on the drive....

Try not to take the pi** he he, thanks.

If your interested pop a note on this thread, cheers.

P.s. are these RS6 plus exhausts?

Nice job. How is that done ? With some sort of tape ? And what is the cost?

Personally I don't think the dechroming works unless you have a black RS6. My car is the same colour as yours but I don't think I'd do that since it is just removing the chroming rather than matching it to the colour of the car and I think it just makes it look like a cheaper model. It looks great on a black RS6 like this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0193934177

Andyt, mine is muggy blue with black optic and I love it (stealthy and mean). Aside from anything else at least someone won't nick my wing mirrors cuz they are the typical RS aluminium style. There's an A4 cabrio that lives on my road and they have put the lovely extra chrome strips on all the front grills - it looks so chavy/sad.

>P.s. are these RS6 plus exhausts?

They certainly look like the +'s sport pipes. They nicely match everything else now.

What paint did you use? (That is what the masking tape was for I guess?).

 Hi guys thanks for your input, the front grill had the chrome edge pulled out and the black ones fitted, i decided to tape the straight beams along the doors and to finish i used a top secret paint in the roof strips which hasnt come out to bad...the photos are crap cause i used the high expos at night but in the light it loooks a true tarmac terrorist! he he.

Lets have some pics of your machines guys... someone start a thread and we could have a pic of the readers/writers cars and ill add a better pic! :D
