What extras are recommended or available for the RS6? (like the Quattro suspension, short shifter etc. for the RS4)

Mate..

the only things I can find available are:

Engine upgrades and dump valves,
Exhausts,
New paddles, (on the sterring wheel)
20" alloys & suspension lowering + new rubber,
& gearbox software

I had the ECU and gearbox chipped.. completly transformed the car.. was superb.. was going to get exhaust done but never got round to it!!

How about the Touareg V10 TDI ?
313hp and 750nm torque stock, upgrades available for 390hp/900nm. Plus 800km of autonomy, for 13L/100km.

Saw one or two on a recent trip down Munich way. They make a fair noise! I could only really hear the turbo though, but I'm told they growl and snarl in an almost V8 fashion. Not bad if you ask me. Well built too.

As for the RS6 extras, gearbox tuning is the first think that needs doing! It's a great gearbox, but an auto will never be any good when you're in a real hurry. Engine mods are a good plan too, but a decent stainless exhaust can give you a LOT more power for not so much of the folding.

John, are we talking about exhaust for RS6 or V10 Toaureg? I'm getting mine (VW) next week and want to mod it asap.
Cheers,
Cris

I know what the RS6 sounds like with the MTM exhaust, but I've never found a diesel that sounded good before, fancy exhausts or not. There's a fairly modded RS6 (MTM bits) that I've seen a couple of times in Frimley and Farnborough. It's a blue beasty, lovely thing with the exhausts and I believe the suspension. Other than that I'm not sure, but it sounds like a BEAST. I'm a serious V8 man, and so naturally I hate turbos, as in this country they bring big DV's which sound like bus brakes, and lots of hassle from pikies in Escort RS Turbos which are running "293hp innit mate, yeah wikid", and last 5 minutes. However, the forced induction on board the Audi turbo engines is all good, as at least there you start with a decent motor to take the pressure!!! Nothing beats the shere twin-supercharged-V8-ness of the Aston Vantage though. Ooooooooooooooh they sound good.
