CD "Error"

Post by aRSy » Mon Aug 27, 2007 4:28 pm

Hi All

I tried my CD player for the first time yesterday, and while everything else works fine on the radio/tv/sat nav, the CD when chosen comes up with a message - "Error". The CD player is full of CDs and I have tried them all the different ways around, but still to no avail. :(

Have looked through the previous posts but haven't found a similar problem noted...

Has anyone else come across this problem before? Any thoughts on how to fix or what is wrong would be most appreciated.

Cheers

If it never plays any CDs, try using a can of aero-duster directed into the changer in the direction of the laser lense.

Had this once, had to get a new changer (Audi warranty)

Could have a spare one in a week or two if you need one.

thats weird coz I also had this error earlier this week......

Luckily it was a badly scratched disc that caused the problem. Just as well they were not shop bought (read EXPENSIVE) discs but my own personal copied ones.....

Could be interested in one, not very good on installation though, is it straightforward?

I've got the same problem, first 4 discs are in error but it plays 5 and 6 and now and again errors those as well. I'll try the aero duster then, followed by the hammer!
