water leak in cabin

Post by BigMo » Thu Mar 22, 2007 12:21 pm

was raining this morning, popped to MacD's for a double sausage muff and noticed niagra falls had moved to my central interior light just behind the sunroof switch. Water (albeit not a lot) in the e brake recess. Anybody know where to start looking or shall I annoy dealer with another warranty job?

Seals on the sunroof or windscreen is the only thing I can think of.

Dealer: "Sorry sir, we can't honour that as a warranty claim - 'Act of God', you see..."

Audi CS: "Your RS6 is now more than 5 minutes old and we don't make them anymore, so you are pond life. But OK we will be prepared to go 50:50 on your next sausage patty."

Does the water comes in when you're moving? (windscreen seal? Had a new one at all?)

Or stationary? (Then more likely to be sunroof out of the two feeble suggestions I've made)

Go easy with the hammer, just gentle taps to start with.

Cheers chaps, I give these suggestions a waz and see which works well. I saw some black guttering at homebase earlier but will have to wait till the sales on to get it. Apparently our local Morrisons are doing a special on own brand clingfilm till Saturday. Might kill 2 birds with one stone and give the front of the car some stonechip protection too.

Anymore constructive suggestions? Maybe seem weld a pagoda to the RS6?

Classy! It would certainly add an air of exclusivity.... 1 of 1 made that way.

You could always go the whole hog and have a nice white pebbledashed exterior, wrought iron gates and a tarmac drive and then park the 6 next to your silver landcruiser, he he he.

fixed - nothing to do with seals. Apparently there are drain tunnels down the A pillar that got blocked. Anyone want to buy a pagoda?
