not too sure of the new road tax prices. Haven't been able to look into it. What does it mean for us 6'ers?

apparently pre march 2006 cars remain in the band F. Only those over co2 225 reg after march 2006 come into the big G. Someone correct me

this is what I got.

Taxation brackets for all cars registered after 01.03.01 there is now an additional bracket for cars registered after 23.03.06 and producing over 225 g/Km CO2 which is band G anything registered before 01.03.01 is taxed on engine size


Petrol car TC48
Cars registered on or after 1 March 2001 based on CO2 emissions and fuel type

Band A up to 100 g/km £0.00

Band B 101-120 g/Km £35.00 (12months) - (6months)

Band C 121-150 g/Km £115.00 (12months) £63.25 (6months)

Band D 151-165 g/Km £140.00 (12months) £77.00 (6months)

Band E 166-185 g/Km £165.00 (12months) £90.75 (6months)

Band F over 185 g/Km £205.00 (12months) £112.75 (6months)

Cars registered on or after 23 March 2006

Band G over 225 g/Km £300.00 (12months) £165 (6months)

Yep, the March 2006 date is the important bit.

New RS4's just got a whole lot more expensive to tax!
