Hello - new to the forum as I have just bought the car. I need a new cam belt and few other bits so contacted Stoke Audi. They only discount on e bay but it shows how dealers can compete when they want to. I also posted on findsyou.com which seems even more novel - only just started by a mate. Try searching for Audi.

Very very good price if they change everything,if it only includes cambelt and tensioner and not all the rollers and dampers then it's not that cheap, worth checking on.

I have just had it done. The price included VAT and the work was done quickly. The book has been stamped. The change was the scheduled Audi approved job for 40k. I don't know about the rollers and dampers. If that is the standard then it was done. If not, I am sure that they would have tried to add it on as an extra which they didn't. Overall very happy and the RS6 specialist checked out the car as well. I noticed the gearbox was jerky and they looked into it and found the ecu thought I had a manual gearbox! They rectified that for nothing. Good experience.

Cambelts have always been wildly variable: See http://rs246.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB ... highlight=

for some history on the subject, it is recomended to be very careful to make sure that you are going to get what you expect at the price you expect.

Stoke Audi - quite a way for you and me, but quite a lot of change out of £1,450. Details on Audi UK website as they are an authorised dealer.

Ask to speak to their RS6 specialist who knows the car backwards (and forwards of course)
