How old are you? ? ?

Post by RSVI » Thu Nov 30, 2006 12:30 am

Just wondering what age group I should be mixing with when I have an RS6 on the drive.
What is the average age of an RS6 owner?

Pah...36?????? You yunguns haven't lived!! Since the RS6 came into my life I have assumed a much younger outlook on life!!! 8)

To summarize, are you getting an RS6 or just doing a survey on age???

Getting an RS6, just wondered what sort of age people were, i post on Scoobynet and put a poll Click Here asking what people would go for if they had the choice. Most said the RS4 but most on there are below 35 years of age.
I think with the 4 being more flickable this is in favor for the younger genaration, it's also more of a mean looking car. Where the 6 is a bigger "family" car that's a bit more suttle ;).

I'm after a larger car that's got the power and space for little ones and all the things that come with kids.

Still looking for the right one.

:D

I saw you in the pub last night, more like a school boy than a 25 year old! But then we all were... 8)

2003, Daytona grey or Avus Silver, silver leather, silver or carbon dash, pref below 40k miles. But then it would be nice to get one with the 40k service being done

Mileage (geography) isn't too much of a problem as long as the cars right. Does make the trip home more enjoyable if it's a longer journey.

Also i would like a Audi 12 month warranty with her.

This is one I've been looking at for the last few weeks but my wife isn't keen on engine mods due to past stories on other cars.
HERE I understand the owner is on this site.

Should i tell the wife she's being silly as this is not a dangerous mod?

I know it's luck of the draw with used cars, you could get a std car with problems and a modded car fault free for years but.......

Is the AMD tune up a safe option, i understand it is. Has anyone had a problem due to a small ( % ) power upgrade.

Also, with the gearbox remap, is this going to prolong the life of the gearbox because of the smoother gear change that's made?

Thanks

A lot of people seem to be getting their car remapped and then talking about extending the warrantee too, as always the question is dodged : Why pay £1500 for a warrantee which may not be valid on a modified car :?:

If there is an answer, I'd like to hear it, if someone has got "mod approval" from their dealer etc.
If it IS possible to have both, I'd certainly like to get mine chipped! 8)

I'm pretty sure it is possible... Don't want to mention dealers by name, but there are definately several who have good relationships with certain reputable tuners. Touch wood, I like to think I'd have no real problems having warranty work done, unless of course I had been remapped by "Eeezy Chips", or "Hot Performantz" or even "Smokin' Boost Upgrades" (See Yellow pages)
