De-chroming / Styling Pack

Post by Wolverine » Fri Feb 03, 2006 9:48 pm

Does anyone know here if there is a company or service where you can get your car dechromed ? I dont know even if its possible to paint chrome black without it flaking ???

If not, anyone have an idea how much the styling package would cost from Audi (basically, the black strips on the window sills, roof rails, top & bottom grill).

Personally I think the dechromed cars look so much more menacing and more sporty.

Sorry, can't help but do know that Listers Worcester dechromed one (on grille at least) a few years ago, but was showing signs of flaking.

Sounds like you need a "plus" - I also prefer the look to the point I would only have body colour mirrors.

I'm looking into doing this too... I asked Audi and there is no "kit". The black strips cost c. £180 per door window plus fitting plus grille etc. About £1,500 for the lot!!!!!

Anyone aware of a more economical way of doing this?
