Hi, Newbie S5 owner

Post by ColS5 » Thu Dec 01, 2011 6:09 pm

Hi,

Purchased an S5 in Ice Metallic silver a few months ago and was pointed in this direction as the best forum to be on so just reigestered and wanted to say hello.
Thinking of a few mods already air filter, re-map but wondered if anyone had a view with regards to the AWE Tuning 4.2L Touring exhaust as not seen any posts on the subject ? (Though the Milltek exhaust does seem to be a favourite)
Also interior mods like suitable aluminium foot pedals and plate.
Anyway, great forum and look forward to preferences or experiences from anyone who has modded an S5 ?

Cheers,
Col

Wouldn't bother with a remap unless you are going for sports cats. Milltek cat back VERY much recommended.

Hi Sonny, Ian,

Thanks for the welcome and the heads up with the re-map.
I know DazN who has just had a Milltek fitted to his RS4 recently so will catch up with him next week and check it out :nodder:

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the welcome and as tasty and tempting the Supercharger sounds, my pocket won't extend to one of those just yet, more's the pity.. :(

Cheers,
Col

Hi Marga moe,

Thanks for the welcome and I did pick the car up from there. Good set up but spent longer than I anticipated there due to checking out the showroom and car lot, especially the RS5's !!
Couldn't resist when I saw the S5 advertised so decided to travel up there to view, (I'm based in South Manchester area), enjoyed my drive back after I purchased her though. :D

Enjoy your RS4 cab mate, beautiful car
Cheers,
Col

Hey Daz,

Ease off the accelerator when in the car park otherwise the security 'jobsworth' team will ban you for exceding decibel levels as Health and Safety issue

Will catch you later mate
