Just picked up my RS6 from way down south on Friday :-) Drove 550 miles back to Aberdeen, car was faultless all the way, big smile everytime the kick down used..... :-)

Out on short runs etc Saturday. Into town on Sunday, parked form 2 hours, started up and engine management light on........ :-(

Can anyone recommend the best Vagcom to buy so I can have look at the codes??? Loads of them on Ebay and not sure what woud be the best one.......???

Thanks

stev

PS, great forum

Welcome to the forum, bet that drive was amazing. Nothing like picking up a new car and having to drive a good few hours home, much entertainment.

Cant help you on the EML problem, did you buy it privet or from a dealership?

p.s what year RS6?

Yeah, was some drive.......down and back same day (must be mad). Drove an X5 down and RS6 back. RS used less fuel on the way back so that was a selling point to the better half :-) She was really happy she agreed to make the 1000 mile round trip with me..........

2003, Full Audi history and loads of receipts. Took some time to get one which fitted the bill that was worth a 1000 mile round trip....

Avus silver, black leather etc.

First Audi ive had, think im converted already........... even with the EML glowing at me.

Gave the car some beans last night for a while, performance perfect (EML still on.....) :drink:

Started the engine this morning and EML went out straight away :biggrin3:

Hopefully just a sensor glitch. Ordered VACOM for next time....

Thanks for the welcome guys

Got the Vagcom check done, was a lean mix on banks 1 and 2. Cleared codes and rechecked after 2 days driving. No codes recorded :biggrin3:
