RS4 BOSE sound system

Hi All - I have recently purchased an RS4 Avant (B7). Love the car, however I find the BOSE sound system is decidedly average at best. Are there any known problems with the system or failing that can anyone recommend a decent upgrade? Before anyone recommends a Milltek non res exhaust, I have already done that...
