Hi everyone,
I've been looking at RS4s and found this site, it looks great. I'm thinking of getting an RS4 i think its B5 model or a newer S4 about 2004 probably with less miles.

I would prefer the RS4 but living in Cyprus i'm not sure how it would cope with the heat, i know turbos like cold damp air which we rarely get here.

I've had a couple of STI imprezas which were the business despite their bad rep, and learnt my stuff in golf & 205GTIs after passing my test too many years ago.

At the moment i've got a Nissan pickup, i'm sick of it wallowing about, so should i get a 2.7 RS4 or a 4.2 S4, any help much appriciated.

Ollie

You will be fine with the heat and the Bi-turbo, but the right oil, a good set of intercoolers, afterrun pump mod and a new temp sender just in case the old one is on its way out, and make sure the fan control unit is operating correctly. Regular oil changes. If you do get the B5 then I think it may be one of the only ones on the island.

I prefer the B5 and there have been plenty of debates here between B5 and B6, it is up to you, have a search on the forum.

Good luck with the purchase, oh and dont worry about milage, good maintenance is much more important.

Thanks for that Nige,
I havent seen a B5 RS4 here, its cheaper to register than a 4.2 which would be 4300 euros
