Its a standard B5 with no mods yet, but am tempted with a re-map after my trackday last weekend. Its Black with 80k on the clock, stunning!

Love the black one's, that was my other option when i was buying, but couldn't find any around at the time at the right price.

Deffo go for a remap, but if you track it and it's standard, you will be wanting to upgrade those front brakes. How did you find them on the track last weekend? I got terrible fade after three laps of Bedford on standard brakes.

Yeh my brakes did fade quite quickly so i just eased off or came in early. And i had them smoking when i came to stop in the pits so had to drive round slowly to cool them down. It was brilliant fun and when the intsructor was in the car no one could keep up :)

Snetterton in Norfolk. Very quick track. What spec is your car?

Ooh, I remember going there several times in the 80's for the Willhire 24 hours. Happy days.

Mine has the usual upgrades; MRC custom map, Milltek DP's & system, quick-shift, AWE DTS, B7 front brake upgrade, H & R ARB's, after-run mod, Wagner SMIC's, that's about it. I'm sure it won't be long before you start on the slippery slope. It's nice to see a few folks look at alternative upgrades than the usual 'safe' upgrades like mine.

Enjoy your car Will and get some photos up so we can all admire it.

I like Snetterton as well, may be visiting again soon. Are you from this part 'of the woods'?

Yes i live in Norfolk. Your upgrades must have cost a fortune, mine wont stretch that far im sure, just keep it simple I think untill I win the lottery!!

Like many S / RS owners, you don't keep a running total of what it costs, it would just depress you. Do it over a few years and it's far less painful. Then add in the cost of fixing bits that break or wear out, like clutch and steering rack this year for me, and it's probably a tidy sum. But, these are performance cars and give you a performance car thrill. So enjoy (looks like you already are!).

Come back to me in 2 years and, if you still have the car, I bet you also have a list of mods as long as your arm :) .

^^^^^ tehehehe!

i know that feeling.... I remember saying 450hp is enough for anyone. Well it was. For A while. :)

Now 550 isn't enough, i would sell a kidney for 1/10 of second off the 0-60 and my wifes for an extra hp.

Its a great car, welcome and enjoy. CheeRS Alex
