Where's my mail gone?

Before the appearance of the site was changed I had quite a few PMs from other users who had given me useful info. As I am a silly bastard, I did not print this off or store it by any other electronic means. Now that we have the new look site, all my old letters have gone - booo hooo! Can anybody help or have they gone forever?

no, my PMs were restored so they should be in the back up of the old database

I will get Phil to look into it

However this may not be for a couple of weeks as he does not return form Le Mans until Monday night and he is getting marrried next week

Ahhh. I've found my old messages now. So don't bother. Like I said, I'm a bit of a silly bastard when it come to IT matters.

Actually Phil, I have seen this issue.
There are two areas for PMs - one at the top of the page saying "You have 1 new message"
and the other on the left under Online saying "You have (1|0) private message." - this was one I received from Tim replying to a PM sent before the upgrade. Hope it helps

The problem here is that we can just use the site PM service or both the site's service and the forum one. Switching to site only will require either loosing all the previous PMs or trying to transfer them across.
